The David Clark DC One-X is a high-quality aviation headset with great noise-cancelling abilities and audio quality. The headset has a comfortable fit and includes a clip for hanging the battery/switch module. The battery life is excellent, but the headset does not have an automatic shut off feature. The customer service and warranty provided by David Clark are praised. The headset is compatible with a mono/stereo switch and GA plugs to U174. However, helicopter pilots will need an additional adapter. There are no gel replacement ear pads available for this headset. The mic boom may be too short, leading to unpredictable voice communications at times. Some users have reported issues with heavy use and recommend Bose or Lightspeed alternatives.
