While some have praised the product saying that it is a great upgrade for a release, has fantastic adjustability and there were no worries about it slipping, others had complaints that it had rubbed spots on the buckle, the hook would release at 20 to 30lbs, that it goes off on its own, catches on things and had a sensitive trigger. A reviewer, who had prior experience with Scott Archery products, was disappointed with the Ghost release saying that it failed at 3/4 draw, and the arrow was lost in the pasture, and after eliminating any possibility of operator malfunction, the release was found to be defective. Another reviewer mentioned that the release started to fire mid-draw and lost 4 arrows and all confidence in the product.
