Furuno 525T-BSD Editorial Review
The Furuno 525T-BSD Bronze Thru-Hull Transducer with Temperature has garnered a favorable reputation among fishing enthusiasts, particularly for its effectiveness in mid-depth fishing scenarios. Users appreciate its compatibility with older Furuno models, such as the LS 6100 echo sounder, and many report satisfactory results when targeting species like Pacific Grey cod, even in challenging conditions where fish are close to the bottom. While the transducer is well-regarded for its affordability and functionality within depths of up to 40 fathoms, there are some limitations to note. Users have expressed mild dissatisfaction over the absence of a fairing block, which was expected as part of the purchase. Additionally, while the transducer performs adequately in shallower waters, it may not provide the level of detail desired at greater depths, which could be a concern for anglers seeking precision in deeper fishing conditions. Overall, the Furuno 525T-BSD is an effective choice for local fishing, particularly in shallower depths, and is well-suited for anglers who prioritize performance over intricate details at deeper levels. **
