For instance, users can directly adjust settings from their living space without needing to access the unit, making it perfect for larger homes.

Is the Noritz RC-7651M compatible with all Noritz tankless heaters?

The RC-7651M is specifically designed to work with select models of Noritz tankless water heaters, particularly those that support remote operations. It’s essential to check the compatibility list provided in the product manual or on the Noritz website. This ensures users can effectively manage their heating system. For example, if you have a compatible model, using the RC-7651M greatly enhances functionality and ease of use.

How does the Noritz RC-7651M improve energy efficiency?

The Noritz RC-7651M enhances energy efficiency by allowing users to control the temperature settings and operational modes of their tankless water heaters. By setting lower temperatures when hot water is not needed, users can minimize energy consumption. Can I control multiple tankless heaters with one RC-7651M?

The RC-7651M is designed to control one specific unit at a time. If you have multiple Noritz tankless heaters, you will need a separate remote controller for each one. For instance, setting it to heat water only in the morning for showers can be a great cost-saving measure.

What display features does the Noritz RC-7651M have?

The Noritz RC-7651M features a clear LCD display that shows critical information such as the current water temperature, which mode the unit is operating in, and any error codes that may arise. This informative display helps users to quickly ascertain the status of their hot water system. For example, if the display shows an error code, users can troubleshoot immediately or seek assistance, thus avoiding prolonged interruptions in hot water supply.

Can I use the Noritz RC-7651M in cold climates?

Yes, the Noritz RC-7651M is suitable for use in cold climates as it helps regulate and maintain the desired water temperature efficiently, regardless of external temperatures. This remote controller allows you to adjust settings to meet your needs, ensuring consistent hot water supply even during colder months. For instance, if you live in an area where cold weather affects plumbing, you can increase the temperature settings to compensate for lower inlet temperatures.

What should I do if the RC-7651M remote controller malfunctions?

If the RC-7651M malfunctions, the first step is to check the connection between the remote and the tankless water heater to ensure everything is securely linked. Noritz Heaters & Accessories RC-7651M Editorial Review

The Noritz RC-7651M is a universal remote used to control multiple tankless water heaters from Noritz. It is compatible with various models including the NR66-SV-NG and nrc98-dv. However, it does not come with an attachment cable and one would have to buy it separately. The remote comes with a mounting plate which has to be attached to the faceplate of the water heater, and two small wires that have a two-pin male molex-style connector. The mounting can be done using the double-sided foam tape or screwing the mounting holes at the front. Customers who have used the remote were impressed with how it worked perfectly and was a perfect replacement for their water heater. Others found it hard to put together but still loved the product. However, a customer had an issue with the unit beeping and putting out a 760 code indicating a bad controller, which occurred within 72 hours of purchase.
