Sony Alpha 7C Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera
The Sony A7c is a small and comfortable-to-use camera with an amazing autofocus system, great image quality, and a flip-out LCD for selfies. The camera uses the Sony E mount system, is compatible with Sony Bluetooth remotes and the Sony Imaging Edge app, and has animal eye AF. However, the camera has some software/firmware issues, including getting stuck in recording mode and an intermittent warning that the SD card needs to be reformatted. The viewfinder cannot be removed but is serviceable, while the articulating rear screen protects the camera and is useful for holding it in different positions. The camera's image quality is impressive, providing more detail than even a Canon R6, and the autofocus tracking is smooth and accurate. There are many native and third-party lenses available for the A7c, but finding small, affordable AF primes can be challenging. Some negatives are that there is no pixel shift option and that the lack of 4k 60 is a big drawback. One customer had an issue with smeared spots in their photos, which they attributed to a problem with the sensor. In general, the Sony A7c is an excellent all-around compact camera with a few drawbacks.
