Players can choose a boss that changes the way they play the game and then have to defeat seven monsters and three bosses with cards from their hand and side deck. While the game requires a minimum of three players, it is suggested that it plays best with four or more. It is a competitive co-op game, so players have to cooperate while also presenting opportunities to either push themselves forward or their fellow players backward in the overall game. The game has no miniatures, but there is a cardboard stand. Fortunately, the game is not only in English, and there are plans for an expansion titled "Bloodborne: The Card Game – The Hunter's Nightmare," which is set to release this year.
