Adapter Controller Adapter for N64 ® Controller connecting the HYPERKIN N64 controller to Nintendo Switch ® PC Mac

The HYPERKIN N64 Controller Adapter has received mixed reviews from customers, primarily tailored towards its functionality in connecting original N64 controllers to modern devices like the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Mac. Users have reported that the plug-and-play nature of this adapter makes it simple to switch between devices without the need for complicated software installations. Feedback regarding basic connectivity indicates success in connecting to PCs and Switches, but various mapping issues have led to inConsistent experiences. While many users appreciate being able to use their original controllers on newer platforms, certain users encountered difficulties with button mapping, especially on specific setups like the Mister FPGA. Users noted that some buttons failed to map correctly without pre-configuring settings in the Mister system menu. Notably, the adapter appears to treat the C buttons as a single analog stick input, which can be an adjustment for those familiar with the original controls. Some customers have reported satisfaction with the responsiveness of the analog sticks and overall gameplay experience. Reviews suggest that while the controller functions adequately in most situations, it may not fully replicate the original gaming experience due to variations in button mapping on different devices. Additionally, users have raised concerns regarding compatibility issues with specific games like Smash Bros on the Wii U. Overall, the HYPERKIN N64 Controller Adapter shines for casual use but may require some technical knowledge for optimal configuration, which could be a barrier for less experienced users. **
