Yale 630099201242 Editorial Review
The Yale 99Z Cylinder Nightlatches PB has received a mix of feedback from customers, showcasing both satisfaction with its functionality and concerns regarding certain aspects of its design. Many users have appreciated the ease of installation, noting that it served as a straightforward replacement for aging locks without requiring any additional drilling or modifications. This has been particularly beneficial for those looking to maintain the aesthetic of their doors while upgrading their security. Customers have also expressed satisfaction with the sturdy feel and build quality of the lock, which retains the chunky finish that is characteristic of Yale products. However, there are notable drawbacks that potential buyers should Consider. A recurring complaint involves quality control issues regarding screws, with reports of missing screws and the provided screws being too long for proper installation. Furthermore, some users have encountered paint chipping on the latch after a short period, which can detract from the lock's overall visual appeal, especially for those who have invested significant time and effort into restoring their doors. While the customer service and support from sellers have been praised, particularly for those opting to return the product, the aesthetic and durability of the finish raises concerns for some users. Overall, while the Yale 99Z Cylinder Nightlatches PB delivers solid functionality and ease of installation, potential buyers should be vigilant about the quality of components and finishes. **
